I am a 3D artist with an interest in hard surface and sci-fi environments.
I have always loved videogames but I never thought there was a place for me in this industry. I've had many jobs in other areas that weren't fulfilling for me. It was thanks to friends and social media that I saw there was more to videogames than programming and animating. I even started making my own little videogame but that turned out to be a bigger challenge than I thought: programming, modelling, texturing, rigging... so many programs to learn! And while I was learning Blender and how to model I found my love for this part of the process. There are so many possibilities! It was the perfect combination of art and technical skills that I needed. It was a bit overwhelming at first, since I never thought I could be an artist and yet here I was, doing what I have always loved since I was little.
I started to take a liking in hard surface models, robots, machinery, guns. I grew up surrounded by mechanics so I guess it makes sense that I find confort in mechanical things.
My first project was Creative Shrimp's Robo where I learned more about hard surface modelling. It was hard! But so worth it seeing the final result.
But no model is finished until it is painted and a nice light shines on it so I enrolled on CGMA's Substance 3D Basics course and from there I also did the Fundamentals and Advanced courses.
My last project was also thanks to CGMA and their Weapon for games course. I leaned a lot about the highpoly to lowpoly workflow in the industry.
I would love to work on any sci-fi project with futuristic, cyberpunk and post-apocaliptic vibes. However I love me a good fantasy RPG like Dragon Age or Baldur's Gate so I would never say no to other worlds.
